At the GoShalas, Vibhuti or the Holy Ash is made, in a traditional manner, without any
chemicals, but using only the dried cow dung (Gobar). This Vibhuti is offered to Mahadev and
smeared on the Shivling. Devotees also smear the Vibhuti on their forehead, neck and arms.
Besides spiritual significance, the Vibhuti also has medicinal properties.
Packets of Vibhuti are sold in 250 gms, 500 gms and 1 kilo packets.
